Vocal powerhouse Jaclyn Victor rocketed to instant stardom when she won the first season of TV vocal talent show Malaysian Idol in 2004. Since then, she has released six studio albums and performed regularly at dinners, events and concerts. 

In the past few months, Jaclyn has marked several important career milestones, the first being her first solo concert, followed by the long-awaited release of her seventh album in mid-January 2025. Her first solo concert was held last year and she also recorded a new album, titled Glorious, her first album under her own label, which features the English version of Gemilang.

Many Malaysians will remember this as the song that won her the title of Malaysian Idol (season 1). Jaclyn also shared her thoughts on how much the music industry has changed in terms of recording, marketing and more, from the perspective of an artiste who has been in the industry for over two decades.
