Instead of the usual extravagant wedding, Kang and her husband Hizwan Hamidy chose to have a series of very low-key ceremonies. And, they did this while opting for sustainable ways – from her wedding wardrobe, preventing food waste to keeping an intimate guest list – to celebrate their big day. The co-founder of homegrown footwear brand Kulet – with her partner and best friend Aina Syahirah – has been producing shoes crafted from non-animal leather as they strongly believe in making cruelty-free products.

Kang shares her views and approach to embracing a business that doesn't push people into over-consumption. And, for the new year, instead of setting huge goals, the newlywed says that after dedicating all her time to building a business, she is now focusing on finding something that is truly fulfilling, rediscovering forgotten passions and hobbies.
